What is your proudest professional achievement?
Obtaining the UKRI GCRF ORNATE India grant to increase research capacity and capability in India and the UK for diabetic retinopathy.
Why is it important that we celebrate women in the field this way?
It is important to highlight women’s achievements, despite playing multiple important time-consuming roles as daughters, sisters, partners, wives, mothers, and grandmothers all through our lives.
What can be done to make the field more diverse?
Being inclusive at every step and making competitions fairer.
Outside of ophthalmology, what makes you happy?
Cooking and gardening with my family.
