What is your proudest professional achievement?
Becoming general secretary of All India Ophthalmological Society and regional secretary of the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology. Also, when my publications touched 500 in international peer reviewed journals.
Outside of ophthalmology, what makes you happy?
Traveling!
Why is it important to celebrate women in the field this way?
Women need to be celebrated at all fronts, not only ophthalmology.
What can be done to make the field more diverse?
Women ophthalmologists need to come up in leadership roles and be on the frontline. They need to project their work more.
