To be part of the team that proves the first non-IOP treatment for glaucoma; to see my children happily grown up; and to speak better Italian!
Piece of advice you would give to your younger self?
Never give up!
The most serendipitous moment of your career?
In 1999 I found myself by chance sitting next to a chap who was just returning from running a randomized controlled trial of glaucoma surgery in Singapore and thinking “I’d like to do that.” I phoned the chief investigator and had a successful interview three days later. It changed my whole career direction.
