Rocha specializes in cataract, cornea, and refractive surgery at MUSC - Storm Eye Institute. She has received several awards and distinctions for excellence in ophthalmology including the AAO Achievement Award in 2012, the ASCRS foundation resident excellence award in 2012 and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine teaching excellence recognition award in 2013. Rocha is active in clinical research, having published over 100 scientific works including peer review publications, book chapters, and abstracts in society meeting
