Over the past two years, Sadeer B. Hannush has continued to demonstrate leadership in both global ophthalmology and academic scholarship. In November 2024, he completed his sixth mission trip to Tenwek Hospital in Bomet, Kenya, building on more than a decade of sustained commitment that began with the launch of a corneal transplant program in 2010 and expanded through the Wills International Resident Experience (WIRE) and the Center for Academic Global Ophthalmology (CAGO) in 2011. Complementing this global work, Hannush served as lead author on a major study, “Middle segment surgery: indications, techniques, and future directions,” published in Current Opinion in Ophthalmology in January 2026.
