From the nominator: “Eui-Sang Chung has played a central role in elevating refractive and anterior-segment care in Korea through his leadership at SNU Eye Center and continued national influence as one of the country’s most accomplished refractive surgeons. With more than 10,000 EVO ICL implantations, he is widely recognized as a key figure in shaping clinical standards for phakic IOLs, surgeon training, and the integration of advanced refractive technologies. Over the past year, he has continued to guide the responsible expansion of ICL surgery in Korea, contribute evidence-based insights to the refractive community, and mentor the next generation of surgeons in modern refractive practice.”
