We are delighted to share The Ophthalmologist’s Power List 2019 with you. This year saw a record number of nominations – almost 2,000 – across five categories: Champions for Change, Inventors, Emerging Leaders, Mentors, and Surgical Pioneers.
Each nomination celebrates an individual who has made a significant impact on the field, whether that is through a philanthropic initiative or their ongoing commitment to innovation.
The diversity of the categories – and the huge influx of votes – have brought in many new names. In fact, half of this year’s Power Listers have not been featured before. And 16 of the front-runners are women – an increase from 13 to 32 percent since last year, which we welcome and celebrate.
Here is the 2019 Power List, marking another marvellous year in the ophthalmic field.
