ZEISS Medical Technology has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for ZEISS CLINIC 360, its cloud- and browser-based software platform designed to consolidate ophthalmic diagnostic and medical data into a single patient view.
The company said the platform is intended to help clinicians assess disease progression, support treatment decisions and improve workflow efficiency by reducing the time spent searching across multiple systems. ZEISS CLINIC 360 is expected to become available in the U.S. in early fall 2026.
Built as part of the company’s ophthalmic workflow portfolio, CLINIC 360 combines information from diagnostic devices, electronic medical records and practice management systems. It supports DICOM-enabled data from ZEISS devices including CIRRUS, CLARUS and HFA, as well as compatible third-party devices, creating a multimodal overview of a patient’s condition.
“Our strategic focus on digitally connected workflows, combined with the increasing adoption of digital ophthalmic tools in the U.S., has firmly positioned ZEISS at the forefront of empowering ophthalmologists. As ophthalmology continues to adopt connected technologies, clinicians need solutions that fit seamlessly into how their practice operates,” said Federico Villegas, Head of ZEISS Medical Technology US and President of Carl Zeiss Meditec USA, Inc.
“ZEISS CLINIC 360 reflects our commitment to reducing complexity across the care journey and helping practitioners work more efficiently while maintaining focus on their patients, marking a significant advancement toward the delivery of more personalized patient care.”
The platform also integrates EMR information including risk factors, family history and allergies alongside imaging and diagnostic results. Disease-specific summaries and interactive analytics are designed to highlight clinically relevant changes, including glaucoma progression through color-coded alerts and trend analysis of OCT, intraocular pressure and visual field data.
Clinicians can also securely share cases and reports and seek input from colleagues through integrated access to the ZEISS Collaborative Care feature.
“Practices are dealing with increasing volumes of information from imaging devices, medical records, and diagnostic testing. With ZEISS CLINIC 360, our game-changing, cloud-based solution presents a truly comprehensive view of a patient, supporting a wide range of practices with actionable clinical insights and flexible configurations,” said Anuj Kalra, Head of Chronic Disease Management at ZEISS Medical Technology.
“ZEISS CLINIC 360 represents a new standard in patient care support, helping clinicians identify meaningful change more quickly and spend less time searching for what they need.”
ZEISS said CLINIC 360 will complement its existing ZEISS FORUM platform, which provides on-premise data management. The new system instead offers a subscription-based cloud model, enabling practices to access patient information across locations without local software installation and select configurations suited to their clinical and operational requirements.
