IQity has announced a strategic partnership with Sightpath Medical aimed at accelerating the rollout of a new generation of ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical technologies across the United States.
The agreement brings together IQity, a developer of integrated ophthalmic technologies, and Sightpath Medical, one of the country's largest providers of mobile ophthalmic surgical services. The companies say the partnership will combine IQity's emerging technology portfolio with Sightpath's nationwide logistics, installation, and support infrastructure.
Under the arrangement, Sightpath will provide operational support for several forthcoming IQity products, including IQ-SurgiView, a digital robotic surgical microscope featuring AI-assisted visualization; IQ-Meter, an integrated diagnostics and laser treatment platform designed for premium lens surgery; and IQ-Flow, a handheld endoscopic cyclophotocoagulation (ECP) device intended for glaucoma treatment.
The partnership comes as ophthalmology continues to experience growing demand for technologies that can improve surgical efficiency, streamline workflows, and support increasingly complex patient volumes. Companies across the sector are investing heavily in digital visualization, artificial intelligence, and integrated diagnostic platforms in an effort to enhance both clinical outcomes and practice economics.
Sightpath Medical's existing footprint may offer IQity a substantial route to market. According to the company, Sightpath supports more than 1,000 surgical facilities across all 50 states through a network of service technicians, mobile inventory resources, and surgical support personnel. The organization is best known for providing mobile access to cataract, refractive, glaucoma, and retina surgery technologies.
Luke Clauson, CEO of IQity, said the partnership aligns with the company's goal of addressing key challenges in ophthalmology through technologies designed to improve outcomes while reducing costs and workflow burdens. "This partnership with Sightpath is a direct expression of that mission,” he said. “We are bringing revolutionary ophthalmic technology to market through a service infrastructure that surgeons already trust.”
For Sightpath, the agreement represents an expansion of its role beyond equipment access and support. Dan Robins, chief operating officer of parent company Finnitiv Health, said the company plans to leverage its expertise in logistics, installation, service, and inventory management to support IQity's product introductions.
The partnership takes effect immediately. While launch timelines for the three IQity platforms have not yet been disclosed, the announcement signals the company's intention to establish a broader commercial presence as competition intensifies in ophthalmic diagnostics, visualization systems, and glaucoma technologies.
