article Full Article subject Summary summarize Notecard

Dry eye disease treatment relies heavily on artificial tears, which enhance tear volume, modify surface tension, and improve viscosity to reduce evaporation. Effective solutions must consider the components of these drops, including carbomers, hyaluronic acid (HA), and lipid supplements, all serving distinct roles in alleviating symptoms. Despite a wealth of options, patient adherence poses significant challenges, often stemming from misunderstandings about dosage and frequency, underscoring the need for thorough clinician guidance.
