I met Julia Haller, Wills Eye Hospital’s Ophthalmologist-in-Chief, back in February. The result was one of the most inspiring conversations I’ve ever had.

When recalling the difficult first months of the pandemic, she doesn’t only think about how challenging it was for her; she can remember how tough it was for every single member of her staff, including the hospital’s elevator attendant. That, to me, is what true leadership looks like - see what you think after reading “Hear Us Roar.” Also, don’t miss Jurij Bilyk’s “It Takes a Village” – on the importance of working together to take care of a patient’s skull base.
Until next time, Aleksandra Jones, Editor.
