Tell us about your practice….
How do you acquire new patients?
How do you educate patients on newly available, innovative treatments?
Mitch Jackson: “We use a patient questionnaire, which asks patients to self-assess their personality on a scale from ‘easy-going’ to ‘perfectionist.’ I prefer patients to fill it in on paper themselves as we find out so many things about a patient when they handwrite their responses. One person circled the word ‘perfectionist’ so many times that they tore the paper. Another patient wrote: ‘You’ll find out if you make a mistake,’ and another wrote ‘I do’ multiple times all over the page.”
How important is spectacle independence to your patients and how do you explain likely outcomes to them?
How do you select appropriate treatments for each patient and how does your practice support personalized treatment choice or selection?
Which new and upcoming technologies are you most excited about specifically for your practice?
Do you use any modern tools, such as smartphone apps or surveys, to increase patients’ compliance and make the process easy for them?
Do you use digitally integrated workflows? What advantages do you see?

Having edited several technical publications over the last decade, I crossed paths with quite a few of Texere's current team members, and I only ever heard them sing the company's praises. When an opportunity arose to join Texere, I jumped at the chance! With a background in literature, I love the company's ethos of producing genuinely engaging content, and the fact that it is so well received by our readers makes it even more rewarding.
