In Conversation With… Jennifer Loh

Whilst in Barcelona for the XXXIII Congress of the ESCRS 2015, Mark Hillen, editor of The Ophthalmologist, invited key participants of the conference to take part in an exciting new video project: “In Conversation With...”, an ongoing series of informal interviews with some of the biggest personalities in ophthalmology in glorious settings around the globe.

Next up: Jennifer Loh. A rising star amongst the CEDARS/ASPEN set, Loh practices at the front line of refractive/cataract surgery at the South Florida Vision Associates in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. So when we met in the Presidential Suite of the Hesperia Tower Hotel in Barcelona, Spain, our conversation saw us discussing what a recently-qualified ophthalmologist needs to do to keep up with the latest developments in the field, what’s changed in the four-year period since she qualified, the ethics of purely cosmetic procedures, the femtosecond laser in practice, and her highlights from this year’s ESCRS congress.
