Images of Ophthalmology
In August, The Ophthalmologist will publish a special issue showcasing the very best images from the field of ophthalmology. And you have the chance to submit an image that defines your work.
We all know that a picture is worth a thousand words, but what does that mean for ophthalmology? The Ophthalmologist will devote much of the August issue to images, photos and infographics that define the field of ophthalmology, in six themes:
- Improving people’s lives
- Incredible anatomical images
- Data visualization
- Injuries
- Miniaturization
- Perplexing presentations
All images will be accompanied by a short caption (<50 words) and fully credited.
We invite you to submit your most stunning images; the best will be published in all their glory. And our favorite submission will be used as the cover image for this special collector’s issue.
To submit your images, please email the editor at: [email protected] with “Images of Ophthalmology” in the subject line. Please send images in the highest resolution possible and include both a caption and a credit for the image.
I spent seven years as a medical writer, writing primary and review manuscripts, congress presentations and marketing materials for numerous – and mostly German – pharmaceutical companies. Prior to my adventures in medical communications, I was a Wellcome Trust PhD student at the University of Edinburgh.
