What industry trends are catching your attention right now?

The convergence of digital and physical worlds. What I mean by this is the integration of digital health solutions into our everyday lives that will herald in a new era of health and wellness personalized to individual patients. Technologies like generative artificial intelligence (AI), spatial computing with augmented and virtual reality, advanced virtual care, and wearable IoT devices are becoming closely aligned to our daily routines. This, ultimately, enables real-time health tracking, personalized feedback, and immersive health and wellness experiences that were once limited to the domain of science fiction.

If you weren’t an ophthalmologist, what would you be doing instead?

I would be/am a digital health entrepreneur, focused on advancing the next generation of medical paradigms, devices, and technologies.
