What industry trends are catching your attention right now?
The rapid expansion of IOLs that may possibly provide accommodation, as well as in vivo adjustment, of the IOL power following cataract surgery.
What is a little-known fact about you?
I still enjoy mountain biking in my late sixties – even if that means using an electric assist bike!
Make a bold prediction for the future of ophthalmology.
In our lifetime, ophthalmic surgeons will have truly accommodating IOLs available for placement into patients eyes following cataract surgery, allowing for clear and unencumbered distance, intermediate and near vision post op.
If you weren’t an ophthalmologist, what would you be doing instead?
