“Adnan Tufail is a world-leader in research, particularly in AMD and choroidal neovascularization, and has pioneered a number of landmark papers, receiving the largest EU grant to support the development of intermediate AMD treatments. He is also a leader in AI and deep learning investigation, collaborating with Google DeepMind, and he clinically led the first paper showing that AI could detect all OCT features of early AMD and late manifestations.”
