I summarized my strongest opinion in last year’s ESCRS Binkhorst Lecture: “There is no free lunch in optics.” Regardless of what companies say to doctors, there is no perfect lens that has no side effects and provides perfect vision at all distances. Despite this, however, it is always worth trying to reach perfection.
