Outside of ophthalmology, what makes you happy? 

Travel, family, friends, and being outside.

Why is it important to celebrate women in the field this way? 

Women have made great gains in being represented in medicine, but we are still outnumbered three-to-one by men in ophthalmology. We have not traditionally been recognized or acknowledged in the same way men have.

What can be done to make the field more diverse? 

Help plug the leaks in the pipeline of recruiting and selecting a more representative workforce in ophthalmology, and rethink the metrics we use to evaluate and judge “the best and the brightest.”
