What is your proudest professional achievement?

I’m fortunate to have found my passion in ophthalmology. Bringing state-of-the-art cataract and refractive surgery to Annapolis and the surrounding area has brought me great fulfilment. Building a lasting legacy of like-minded physicians and staff with Vision Innovation Partners (~100 physician/1,000 staff strong) and enabling them to collaborate and share ideas has been extremely rewarding. None of it was achieved alone, and I am grateful for the amazing people who work daily to serve our patients.

Outside of ophthalmology, what makes you happy?

I love life and want to experience as much as I can every day. I work hard and play hard, and enjoy traveling, snow and water sports, golf, trap shooting, and cooking. But most of all, I enjoy the good company of my family and friends.

Why is it important to celebrate women in the field this way?

It is a privilege to be part of this distinguished group of women and to mentor young female ophthalmologists. Celebrating women in our field will inspire the next generation of young women to see what is possible.
