Never give up!

The most serendipitous moment of your career?

In 1999 I found myself by chance sitting next to a chap who was just returning from running a randomized controlled trial of glaucoma surgery in Singapore and thinking “I’d like to do that.” I phoned the chief investigator and had a successful interview three days later. It changed my whole career direction.
