Professor of Ophthalmology at The Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, and Medical Director of Beverly Hills Clinic, USC Gayle and Edward Roski Eye Institute, Los Angeles, CA, USA

Bradley’s career highlights include his work in the US trials that led to FDA approval for CXL, as well as his work in identifying risk factors for ectasia after LASIK and screening strategies to minimize this complication. He has authored four textbooks, including the gold standard “Corneal Cross-Linking Second Edition.” Brad is also Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Refractive Surgery.

What are your 10-year goals?

“Develop direct biomechanical evaluation technology to evaluate corneal -biomechanical properties to screen for keratoconus in its earliest manifestations, further improve refractive surgery evaluation, and develop predictive models for corneal interventions such as laser ablation and cross-linking to individualize treatment parameters.”

Most successful collaboration?

“I have a great network of friends, colleagues, and collaborators across the globe – most notably Giuliano Scarcelli, Farhad Hafezi, BJ Dupps and Marcony Santhiago, all of whom are working to improve our ability to measure, manage, and improve corneal biomechanics.”
