Michael Mrochen

Michael is most recently known for his pioneering work on CXL. He has many other notable achievements, including the co-development of both wavefront-guided and wavefront-optimized LASIK, which has transformed outcomes, minimized errors and made LASIK a safer and more predictable procedure.

What are your plans for the next 10 years?

“Continue to work on innovations that will allow ophthalmologists to provide best in class diagnostics, treatments and services to their patients, as well as support young talents to enter the field of ophthalmology.”

Who inspires you?

“Patients that benefit from innovations in ophthalmology. Also, friends, colleagues and partners in the field that I have, or have had, the privilege to work with. I’m inspired by being challenged by them and very thankful for their support.”
