Recognizing Global Education Impact 2025 – Nominate Now!

Which institutions and programs are leading the way in tackling health inequity?

The Ophthalmologist is proud to launch its third annual initiative recognizing the global educational impact of the institutions and programs that are leading the way in tackling health inequity.

Last year’s feature showcased the work of institutions and organizations such as the Arclight Project (UK), Sankara Nethralaya (India), and the Syrian American Medical Society (USA).

For 2025, we would like readers of The Ophthalmologist to recommend an institution or program that they believe is leading the way in:

  • fostering cutting-edge technology

  • pairing local students and practitioners with expert mentors

  • rolling out initiatives to upskill students and trainees in the far corners of the world

  • bring new generations of ophthalmologists from diverse backgrounds and cultures into the profession

Whatever their approach, we want to showcase institutions that are united by the same goal: to ensure that budding eye care professionals have access to high-quality training and education, regardless of location, age, or socioeconomic status.

Complete the nomination form below to recommend an institution. (Closing date is August 31, 2025.)
