During the event, 13 global experts gave lectures on the practical aspects of myopia diagnosis and treatment of myopia in their countries. Divided into four sessions, the conference comprised

  • Practice patterns in myopia control in Asia – the Philippines and Japan

  • Practice patterns in myopia control in Poland – with lectures by Andrzej Grzybowski, Professor of Ophthalmology, Institute for Research in Ophthalmology, Foundation for Ophthalmology Development, Poznan; Mieszko Lachota of the Children’s Memorial Health Institute, Warsaw; and Julia Dezor-Garus and Anna Gotz-Więckowska, of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences
  • Practice patterns in myopia control in North and South America – USA, Argentina, Mexico

Presenters included Michael Xavier Repka from the Johns Hopkins Medicine Home Wilmer Eye Institute in Baltimore, USA; Rafael Iribarren, representing Iribarren Eye Consultants in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Jennifer Hyuna Kim Lee from the Instituto de Oftalmología FAP Conde de Valenciana IAP in Mexico City. (All lectures are available by registering here.)

Delivered in an online format, the conference was a great success, with 674 participants from 38 countries – including Poland, USA, Mexico, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Australia, Israel, India, and Germany – registering for the event.

A downloadable summary of the conference’s key lectures is available below.
