Setting Standards in Phacoemulsification

Remarkable IOP control, maximized vacuum range, and fast vacuum rise time

Geuder’s Vivos system for phacoemulsification* is designed to enhance performance and precision in anterior segment surgery and marks a logical step in the evolution from the company’s trusted megaTRON systems.

Featuring a highly responsive pump system, the Vivos achieves desired vacuum levels that are 40 percent faster than state-ofthe- art systems by elevating the maximum flow rate to 100 ml/ min. The fast rise times allow the surgeon to provide immediate responsiveness during surgery, helping to maximizing patient comfort and satisfaction. (The peristaltic pump of the Vivos system, for example, operates at such a high speed that it nearly doubles available aspiration rates – 100 ml/min). The system allows for very high vacuum levels – up to 700 mmHg, approaching the upper limit defined by the laws of physics (~760 mmHg) – which can be confidently employed when combined with active infusion, maintaining constant control over irrigation and aspiration.

The Vivos’ built-in autotune technology ensures consistent performance throughout the system’s lifetime, maintaining the maximum stroke length of phaco tips and preserving the effectiveness for a prolonged use of handpieces. The innovative sensor-controlled technology ensures optimal control of intraocular pressure by actively monitoring both irrigation and aspiration – precise monitoring that results in improved anterior chamber stability. Designed for seamless and precise control of all system functions and settings, the system’s touchscreen interface is userfriendly, providing quick access to essential features to streamline the surgeon’s workflow.

With the Vivos system for phacoemulsification, surgeons not only gain access to the latest technology, but also exceptional performance, precision, and safety. When it comes to maintaining a stable anterior chamber, Vivos sets standards for phacoemulsification.
