Milton Yogi, Head of Cataract Division at Hospital Beneficência Portuguesa SP and Managing Director at IPEPO - Instituto da Visão in São Paulo, Brazil, saw an Instagram picture of Isabel Brazil, a cornea fellow who works at the Barra Eye Clinic and Oculistas Associados in Rio de Janeiro. The photo was taken in an OR of Hospital Do Olho Duque De Caxias in Rio de Janeiro.

Yogi comments: "Although I didn’t know Brazil, I was touched by the picture. I decided to paint the scene, but it was just my fifth try in watercolor. It turned out much better than I expected! After it was finished, I contacted Brazil, presenting myself and showing the piece. She was delighted, so I framed the picture and sent it to her."

Brazil commented: "I have admired and followed Dr. Milton Yogi since I entered ophthalmology. [The watercolor is] simply spectacular. I will keep it forever in my heart and on the wall of my future office" (1).

Having edited several technical publications over the last decade, I crossed paths with quite a few of Texere's current team members, and I only ever heard them sing the company's praises. When an opportunity arose to join Texere, I jumped at the chance! With a background in literature, I love the company's ethos of producing genuinely engaging content, and the fact that it is so well received by our readers makes it even more rewarding.
