For the unfamiliar, The Power List celebrates the great minds and personalities that contribute to the field of ophthalmology – and for 2022 we’ll be returning to our Top 100 format – but how do we decide who is featured on the final list? We don’t – you do! Each “Power Lister” is nominated by our readers and then ranked by an esteemed panel of independent judges.
Ask yourself: who are the most inspiring and influential ophthalmologists in the field right now? Who is driving us all forward? Perhaps you know of an overlooked trailblazer who deserves a moment in the spotlight… Or maybe you’d like to celebrate a mentor the community couldn’t do without? What about a researcher who has achieved incredible things, overcoming all obstacles? Now is your chance to put them on a pedestal.
You are welcome to nominate anyone involved in clinical practice, research, industry, ophthalmic societies, regulators, NPOs, academia and more – as long as they are still active in the field. As always, we encourage you to consider diversity of the field.
Nominations will close on January 31, 2022, and the final list will be published in April 2022.
