The 40th World Ophthalmology Congress (WOC® 2026), organised by the International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO), is scheduled for 26 – 29 June 2026 at the prestigious Prague Congress Centre in the Czech Republic. This flagship biennial scientific and educational event is the longest-running international ophthalmology congress, tracing its roots back to the first International Congress of Ophthalmology in 1857. It brings together thousands of eye care professionals — including ophthalmologists, researchers, educators, and industry leaders — from around the world.
WOC 2026 features an extensive scientific programme covering all ophthalmology subspecialties and related clinical interests, with expert-led sessions, panel discussions, interactive workshops, and a major exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and services.
