EURETINA 2026: What to Expect

European Society of Retina Specialists — 2026 Edition

The EURETINA 2026 programme will include a one-day Special Focus Meeting on Artificial Intelligence in Retina, held in London early in the year, and the main 26th Congress in Vienna, Austria in autumn.

The Special Focus Meeting — scheduled for 7 March 2026 — spotlights how AI is transforming retinal care, covering topics such as AI for maculopathies, large-language models, AI-driven clinical trials, robotics in vitreoretinal surgery, and vascular retinal disease. It includes a keynote lecture titled “The Future of Retina: From Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) to Artificial Medical Intelligence (AMI)” by a leading retina expert.

Later in the year, the main Congress will take place 1–4 October 2026 at the VIECON – Vienna Congress & Convention Center, with hybrid attendance (in-person and online) available.

This edition promises a comprehensive platform for clinicians, researchers and industry professionals to explore cutting-edge advances in retinal research, diagnostics, surgery and AI-driven solutions.
