ESCRS 2026 London: Premier Global Ophthalmology Congress

Advancing Cataract & Refractive Surgery at the Heart of the UK 

The 44th Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) is scheduled for 11–15 September 2026 at the ExCeL London Exhibition Centre in London, UK. ESCRS is a leading international professional society dedicated to education, research, and clinical excellence in cataract and refractive surgery, with over 7,500 members from more than 130 countries.  

ESCRS 2026 will bring together ophthalmologists, researchers, industry innovators, and trainees to explore cutting-edge surgical techniques, clinical research, and emerging technologies. The congress programme features symposia, instructional courses, hands-on wet labs, debates, poster and oral presentations, and special interest sessions, all designed to foster knowledge exchange and professional development. There are also opportunities to earn European CME credits. 

In addition, the event includes the ESCRS iNovation® Day on 11 September, a dedicated innovation forum connecting clinicians with industry leaders and entrepreneurs in ophthalmic care.
