EGS 2026: European Glaucoma Society Congress
“With a Little Help from Our Friends” – Collaboration & Innovation in Glaucoma Care
The 17th European Glaucoma Society (EGS) Congress will be held in Brussels from 30 May to 2 June 2026. The theme — “With a Little Help from Our Friends” — highlights the importance of collaboration across ophthalmic subspecialties, neuroscience, bioengineering, patient advocacy and digital innovation.
Key features of the 2026 programme include a full Surgery Day with plenary sessions, interactive courses, and hands-on dry labs; a dedicated Imaging Half-Day exploring advanced technologies such as anterior segment OCT and neuro-imaging; and plenary sessions co-developed with experts from neurology, engineering and health economics for a broader, interdisciplinary perspective.
The Congress aims to bring together glaucoma specialists, researchers, surgeons and allied eye-care professionals from across Europe and beyond — offering a platform to share state-of-the-art knowledge, surgical techniques, imaging advances and patient-centred approaches.
