The Power List Is Back!
The Ophthalmologist Power List 2023 celebrates a decade of excellence and impact in ophthalmology

It’s Power List season, and, as usual, we are celebrating the most influential figures in ophthalmology from all around the world. But this year, for our 10th iteration of the Power List, we settled on a special theme: “Ten Years of Excellence and Impact in Ophthalmology.”
Despite the 10-year emphasis and a more rigorous nomination process, we still received hundreds of nominations from some of the biggest names in the world of eyecare. To ensure the process remained independent and reliable, those nominations were passed to a panel of 15 internationally renowned judges, who were given the extreme challenge of deciding upon just 100 individuals whose excellence and impact cannot be ignored.
To cement the legacy of the Power List – and celebrate all its members – we’ve built a brand-new digital platform. So, please do spend some time exploring the list and celebrating the people from across the world who have shaped the field. As always, we do not claim the Power List to be definitive, but we can say that it is a glorious snapshot of the excellence that can be found in all corners of our community – and a wonderful reflection of the great impact you all have on patients everywhere.
