Gunther Grabner
Grabner studied medicine at the University of Vienna and went on to found Austria’s first eye bank in 1977. After spending time in California, he returned to Austria, where he is now director and full professor of the Salzburg Paracelsus Medical University Eye Clinic. He has edited several journals, published over 300 articles, and gives lectures and courses, including the Ridley Medical Lecture at ESCRS 2014. His research interests include corneal and intraocular presbyopia and astigmatism.
