Berthold Seitz

Berthold Seitz is professor and director of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg, Saarland, and Director of the International Council of Ophthalmology Fellowships. He is known for his scientific contributions in the fields of cornea transplantation (especially methods for minimization of postoperative astigmatism), cataract surgery and artificial lens-calculation after refractive corneal surgery as well as techniques of amniotic membrane transplantation and its histological integration patterns in the cornea. He has published over 580 scientific and review articles, and book chapters.
