Alex Walsh
Alex, an engineer and a board-certified ophthalmologist based at Retina Vitreous Associates Medical Group, USA, is best known for binocular OCT – an idea he first formulated while at the Doheny Eye Institute. He is now the founder and chief executive of Envision Diagnostics Inc., a medical device company developing specialized ophthalmic imaging tools. With his degrees in both engineering and medicine, he’s well-placed to solve tricky diagnostic problems, and his plethora of patents and peer-reviewed journal articles bear this out.
