Late last year I invited four young, but already accomplished refractive surgeons from all over the world to take part in a virtual “roundtable” meeting. What followed was a brilliant, honest discussion about their choice of career, finding the best refractive training and then practice to join, as well as stepping out of their mentors’ shadows.
