Adam Mapani was the first nurse featured on The Ophthalmologist’s Power List – back in 2019. In the past, we have covered the topic of ophthalmologists working closely with optometrists, in Shared Vision, and Adam has previously talked about the need for extending responsibilities of other healthcare professionals in ophthalmology.

Now, we Sat Down With Adam to hear all about his work in training nurses to deliver intravitreal injections, helping out at volunteer camps in Africa and the Caribbean, and – more recently – encouraging African communities to get vaccinated against COVID-19, and accepting the Queen’s honor. I hope you enjoy reading the interview! Until next time, Aleksandra Jones
